Many forest areas contain these or other natural, cultural, social values, such as habitat for rare species of flora and fauna, and areas that provide the protective functions arheologichekie or natural monuments, etc. In those places where these values are considered outstanding and critically important forests can be identified as High Conservation Value Forest (HCVF). According to the definition of the Forest board of trustees - FSC HCVF - these are forest areas that need to maintain or increase their high conservation value.
On the territory of Vileika experimental forestry on the basis of criteria and principles for FSC were isolated forest areas related to forests of high conservation value.

At sites classified as HCVF, is prohibited:
- conduct all types of logging, except for measures to quarterly and other clearing firebreaks, roads, canals, paths of communication, as well as thinning to preserve in the planting of broad-leaved;
- tapping trees;
- use of fertilizers, pesticides and other plant protection products;
- the introduction of plantations of alien trees and plants biomeliorants;
- application of forest management, forest harvesting and transport equipment off road.
