Vilejka forestry was formed in October 1939. It consists of former landowners and the state forests that were present on the territory of the former Vilejka County. Previews Director was V.M. Perkovsky. On January 1, 1940 in forestry, there were seven forest districts.

After the victory in the war all the work in forestry was carried out mainly by hand. To restore the destroyed during the war of forest annually a 700 - 1500 hectares of forest crops.

The main functions of forestry workers Vilejka were (in fact, are now) to grow and uburech forest from unauthorized felling, fires, pests, etc. However, forestry is actively engaged in other activities: it produces the doors and window frames, barrels and box boards, houses, arches, and the harvested medicinal raw materials, birch juice, berries and mushrooms. In a large number of collected seeds of hardwoods, which were the creation of shelter belts in the Ukraine and Russia, and conifers for their own needs and for export to Sweden, Finland and Russia. The forestry in large volumes grew seedlings of ornamental species for landscaping cities of Belarus.

In the early 1970's have brought their bees. Bee apiary and there are still great on grass rich Vileika forests.
